How to send a customer their order link on WhatsApp
Every order has a private page the customer can open. Copy it from the order screen and paste it into the chat so they never have to ask where their parcel is.

One of the most common messages a small seller receives is some version of "where is my order?". You can cut most of them out with one habit: send the customer their order link the moment the order exists. The link takes them to a page that shows their order, and it updates as you update the order.
Where to find the link
Open the order in your admin. Next to the other actions there is a button labelled customer link. Press it and the address is copied to your clipboard, and the button briefly changes to copied. Then switch to your chat and paste.
The address has the form of your store's own domain followed by an order path and a long identifier. Because it is generated from your store's address, it works for both a store on a Varchas address and one on your own domain.
If the copy does not work
Some browsers refuse clipboard access in certain situations. When that happens, the button shows the link in a small prompt box instead, where you can select and copy it by hand. Nothing is lost; it is just one extra step.
Who can open it
The long identifier in the address is what protects the page. It is unguessable, so only someone who has been given the link can look at it. That is a practical privacy model for a small store: there is no password for the customer to forget, and no way for a stranger to browse other people's orders by changing a number.
It also means you should only share the link with the customer it belongs to. If a link is forwarded, whoever has it can see the order, so avoid posting it in a group chat.
What the customer sees
The page shows the order, its progress and the details you have added, such as tracking. As you move the order forward, for example by booking a courier or marking it shipped, the page reflects it. That is why a link is better than a one time message: it stays current.
For this to be useful, keep the order up to date. Order tracking your customers can trust explains why accurate tracking details are the difference between a helpful page and a confusing one.
Manual orders and the link
For orders you create from a chat, the link matters even more, because these customers have no account and often no email on the order. After you create the order, you land on its page, and the customer link is right there to paste back into the same conversation. If you did enter an email, the confirmation message includes the order link as well. See how to create an order for a customer who bought on WhatsApp.
A message you can reuse
Keep a short template: thank the customer, state the order number, paste the link, and say you will update the page when the parcel ships. One message, sent once, answers questions the customer has not asked yet.
What the link is not
It is not a payment link. It does not collect money, and it does not let the customer change the order. It is a read only view of what is happening, which is exactly what most people want after they have paid or agreed to pay.
