How to plan the festive season if you sell yoga wear
A lead-time checklist for yoga wear sellers around new-year resolutions and wellness events, from stock and sizing to launch and cut-offs.

Yoga wear does not follow the usual festival rhythm. Its moments are the start of a new year, a wellness event, a class launch or an international day many people link to yoga. Because dates move and you cannot predict exactly how buyers will behave, your plan should focus on being ready rather than on forecasting. Here is a checklist you can adapt to your own calendar.
Start with your own customers
Think about who buys from you: studio regulars, beginners, gym-goers, gift buyers. Ask a few of them what they are planning. A short poll on WhatsApp or Instagram tells you more than guesses. Do not rely on numbers from elsewhere; your own customers' answers are the best forecast you will get.
Eight to ten weeks before
- Decide the products for the push: two or three bestsellers, one new colour, perhaps a set.
- Place fabric and trim orders early. Suppliers and tailors can be slower in busy weeks.
- Order sample pieces in each size to check fit before committing to a full batch.
- Update your size chart with measured numbers. Handling sizes is a helpful reference.
Six weeks before: stock and photos
Produce or buy the stock you can sell, not the stock you hope to sell. Sizes in the middle usually move first, but check your own history rather than assuming. Photograph new pieces in poses that show stretch and fit; photographing yoga wear gives a shot list. Photograph every colour and keep the model information in the listing.
Four weeks before: set up the offer
Plan how you will present the season: a new-year "fresh start" set, a studio bundle, a gift voucher or a limited colour. Work out the margin before you set any discount, so you do not sell at a loss. Our post on coupons that actually move stock walks through simple options. Prepare a calendar of posts and messages; festive season selling for small brands shows how to lay one out.
Two weeks before: packing and process
- Stock mailers, bags, care cards and tissue.
- Pre-fold and bag your fastest-moving sizes if you have space.
- Write reply templates for sizing and delivery questions.
- Agree on an exchange policy and publish it. Yoga wear return risks explains what to include.
- Check that packing follows the steps in packing yoga wear.
Launch week
Announce your offer, share sizing help and post real customer photos if you have permission. Keep an eye on stock: mark sizes sold out the moment they are, to avoid cancellations. Respond to messages quickly during these days; many buyers decide within hours.
Wellness events and collaborations
Local studios, community yoga days and wellness fairs can be good places for a small brand to appear. Approach organisers early, ask what they need and keep the offer simple. Do not claim partnerships or endorsements you do not have.
After the push
Write down what you learned: which sizes ran out, which colours lagged, how many exchanges you handled and why. Thank your buyers and invite them to share photos. Use the data to plan restocks rather than overbuying.
