What should I message a customer after they have used the product?
A short check-in message asks how the product is going and, only if it fits, suggests something that pairs with it; here are wording samples you can adapt.

Why check in at all
After delivery, most sellers go silent until the next sale. A check-in message after the customer has had time to use the product does three useful things: it catches problems early, it collects honest feedback, and it keeps the relationship warm.
There is no magic number of days. Pick a gap that suits your product. A jar of pickle can be judged in days; a leather wallet takes longer to show how it wears. Use your own judgement and keep a note of what felt right.
The check-in message
Make it about her, not about you. Keep it short and easy to answer.
"Hi Kavya, hope you have been enjoying the cotton kurta. How is the fit and the fabric after a wash or two? If anything feels off, tell me and I will sort it out."
That is all. No link, no code, no pitch.
When she replies happily
Thank her warmly. If it feels natural, ask whether she would be fine sharing a photo or a line about it. Do not push for a review. If you do want to collect reviews on your store, customer reviews on your own store explains how that works.
When she replies with a problem
Respond within the day. Apologise, ask for a photo if needed, and offer a clear fix, whether that is a replacement, a refund or advice. How to apologise for a shipping mistake has wording that works for most problems, not just shipping.
A fixed problem often leaves a stronger impression than a smooth order. Write down every issue you hear in a sheet; patterns show you what to improve.
When she does not reply
Leave it. One check-in is polite. A second and third is nagging. If she has not answered, she will find you if she needs you.
Adding a second product, gently
If the check-in goes well and she seems pleased, you may add one line: "A few customers like pairing it with the matching dupatta. Happy to send a photo if you are curious." Offer, do not push. She can say no without feeling awkward. The wording of such pairing lines is covered in how to recommend complementary products politely.
Keep records simple
In your sheet, add a column for "check-in sent" with the date. That way you do not message the same person twice, and you can see which customers never replied.
What you should not claim
Do not tell customers or yourself that a message on a certain day brings more sales. You do not know that. What you do know is whether customers answer and whether problems come out earlier, and that is reason enough to send it.
