How can I turn customer questions into Reels?

Every DM you answer is a Reel waiting to be filmed. Here is how to turn one real customer question into a short repeatable series, without inventing topics.

Running out of content ideas is a common worry. But if you sell anything, you already have a list of topics sitting in your DMs and WhatsApp chats. People ask you what size to pick, how long delivery takes, whether something is washable. Each of those is a Reel.

Why this works as a series

A series is a format you repeat, so you do not have to invent a new idea each time. For this one, the rule is simple: one real customer question, one clear answer, under thirty seconds. You can call it "Ask me anything", "Customer questions", or a name in your own language.

The best part is that these questions come from people who are already thinking of buying. If one person asked, others probably wondered too.

Choose and protect the question

Pick questions that come up more than once. Scroll your DMs and note the repeats: size, colour accuracy, delivery time, care, gifting, bulk orders.

Before you use a question, protect the person who asked:

  • Do not show their name, photo or number.
  • Rewrite the question in your own words if it has any personal detail.
  • If you want to show the actual message, ask permission and blur the profile.

Most of the time, a rewritten question works well, such as "Someone asked me if this dupatta needs dry cleaning".

Film the answer in three steps

Keep the structure tight.

First, show the question as text on screen, or say it out loud in your first sentence. This is your hook.

Second, give the answer straight away, and show it while you speak. If the question is about size, hold the product beside a tape. If it is about care, show the label and the washing method.

Third, close with a line that invites the next question, such as "Send me yours and I will answer in the next one."

Speak the way you do in a chat. You do not need a script. A few bullet notes beside your phone are enough. If the answer is "it depends", say what it depends on. If you do not know the answer, say that and say you will find out. That honesty builds trust.

Be accurate

Because these answers will be seen by many people, check the facts before you speak. Only say what is true for your product, such as its measured size or your usual dispatch time. Do not guess, and do not make promises about delivery that depend on a courier. For delivery topics, shipping across India, what small brands should know can help you give a careful answer.

Do not expect these Reels to bring any specific reach. Think of them as helpful content that reduces the number of times you answer the same question.

Reuse the answers

Each answer can be reused in other places. Put it on the product page, in your highlights, or in a pinned comment. A product page with a short video of the answer can save a customer from messaging you at all. Putting your reels on your store shows how to place them.

You can also use captions so people can watch on mute, as covered in how to add captions to product videos.

Start tonight

Open your last ten chats. Circle the question that appeared most often. Film your answer tomorrow, once, in daylight, and post it. If it helps even one person decide, the series is already worth it.
