Organic fertiliser sells when people are planting, repotting or reviving a garden. Balcony gardeners, home growers and plant lovers buy in bursts that follow the weather and the planting season where they live, more than any festival. Some gift buyers also pair it with plants during festive periods. Since we cannot state demand figures or fixed dates, this checklist is built on lead time, so you can work back from your own busy period once you see it in your orders.

Find your seasons from your own data

Look at your past orders, if any, and note when sales rose. If you are new, watch the weather and the plant-buying pattern in your area, and ask local nurseries or plant groups when people begin planting. You will learn more from one season of notes than from any guess.

Eight to six weeks before

  • Decide your range. A few clear products such as a general compost and a flowering-plant feed are easier to explain than many similar ones.
  • Source stock and check quality: smell, texture, dryness and how well the bag seals.
  • Order bags, cartons and labels. Heavy bags need strong packaging. See how to pack organic fertiliser for the damage side of complaints, and the packing basics in shipping across India.

Six to four weeks before

  • Photograph each product with a real plant, a scoop and the pack, using the shot list for organic fertiliser.
  • Write dosage and timeline guidance. Honest guidance reduces disputes.
  • Create a starter bundle: a small pack of fertiliser with a plant care card. Keep contents modest and truthful.
  • Set pack sizes up as variants with stock counts.

Four to two weeks before

  • Share short how-to posts: how to feed a balcony plant, how to repot, how much to use. Teach, do not oversell.
  • Decide on an offer and cap it; see coupons that actually move stock.
  • Pair with plants if you sell them: a plant and a feed as a gift set. The guide to selling plants online covers plant handling.

The final two weeks

  • Check stock daily. Fertiliser is heavy and bulky, so packing time adds up when orders come in batches.
  • Ship on fixed days and tell customers when they will go out.
  • Answer questions fast. Gardeners ask about dosage and timing.

Think about the weather

Rain and humidity affect storage and transit. Keep stock off the floor, in a dry place, and keep bags sealed until packing. A damp bag can clump or smell, which creates complaints.

After the season

Write down what sold, which pack sizes were chosen and which questions repeated. Update listings with answers. Ask buyers for honest reviews after a few weeks, since results take time; see customer reviews on your own store. Plan your next restock using what you learned, not a guess.
