What can I do in thirty minutes a day to market my store?

Thirty minutes is not a lot, but it is enough if you decide in advance what to do with it. The usual problem is not time but indecision: you open Instagram, scroll for twenty minutes, and close it without having done anything. A fixed checklist removes that.

Set a timer. Do the tasks in this order, because the most valuable ones come first.

Minutes 1 to 10: reply

Open your DMs, comments and WhatsApp business messages. Answer every question from the last day. Be warm and short. If a question comes up for the third time, note it down; it belongs on your product page.

Answering fast is marketing. Someone asking "Is this available in green?" is nearly a customer. A friendly reply with a photo is more persuasive than any caption you will write today. If you keep typing the same answers, save them as quick replies in your messaging app.

Minutes 11 to 18: post one thing

Share the item you prepared. Do not invent a masterpiece every day. A single clear photo with two honest lines is fine. Rotate across simple ideas:

  • A product close-up.
  • The order you are packing right now.
  • A customer's message, shared with permission.
  • A behind-the-scenes shot of making or sourcing.
  • An answer to a question people ask you.

Reel idea: packing an order start to finish is one of the easiest to repeat.

Minutes 19 to 23: one story

Share something to your story with the store link where it fits. It can be the same photo, a poll, or the day's available stock. Stories are quick and give people who already know you a reminder.

Minutes 24 to 30: one follow-up

Pick exactly one person to follow up with today. Options:

  • Someone who asked about a product but did not order. Send a polite one-line nudge.
  • Someone whose parcel was delivered. Ask if everything was fine.
  • A past customer who might like a new arrival.

One is enough. Done daily, that is thirty-plus personal messages a month, which is more than most brands manage.

What to prepare to make this work

What to skip

Do not chase trends you do not understand. Do not compare your follower count with big brands. Do not post just to post if you have nothing to say; a reply or a follow-up that day is better. And do not abandon the habit because one week went badly.

Be honest about results

Daily effort does not guarantee growth. What it does is keep you visible, build relationships and generate material you can learn from. Some weeks will feel pointless. Judge it over a couple of months, not days, using the notes method in reviewing your marketing at month end.

If thirty minutes is too much on a heavy day, do the first ten and nothing else. Replying to people is the one task never worth skipping.
